Submit Your Writing for InTheirWords

Your submission must meet the following criteria:

• It must be written in one of the following languages: Farsi, English, or Pashto.

• The submission should not exceed 1,100 words.

• It must not contain content that promotes hate or violence.

• The work must be entirely your own, without the use of AI tools or assistance from others.

• It must not include any copied material from other authors or online sources.

• Acceptable topics include personal lived experiences, reflections or perspectives on an issue, literary pieces, poetry, or commentary.

• Write your piece in a Word document on your laptop or smartphone.

• Ensure it meets all of our submission requirements before sending.

• Thoroughly review your writing for any structural, grammatical, or punctuation errors once you have finished.

• You may use AI tools such as ChatGPT only for proofreading, not for generating or rewriting your content.

• Consider your comfort level with visibility.
  If you feel safe and comfortable having your writing published with your photo, please include a high-quality image along with your Word document.
  You may submit up to three photos, and our team will select the most suitable one.
