HerStory Co-Founder Nila Ibrahimi Wins International Children’s Peace Prize
Vancouver, BC (November 24, 2024): Nila Ibrahimi, a 17-year-old Afghan activist and Co-Founder of HerStory, has been honored with the International Children’s Peace Prize at a landmark ceremony marking the award’s 20th anniversary in Amsterdam. The accolade recognizes Nila’s extraordinary advocacy for the rights of Afghan girls and her role as a global voice for change.

HerStory Hosts Walk-Out at University of the Fraser Valley in Support of Afghan Women
University of the Fraser Valley, August 15, 2021 — HerStory, in collaboration with Sustainable UFV and UFV Chasi Hub at the University of Fraser Valley (UFV), organized a walk-out at UFV to mark the third anniversary of Afghanistan's fall to the Taliban. The event drew a significant turnout, including UFV professors, staff, and students, united in their support for Afghan women.
