The Sam Pegram Scholarship provides one international student with full funding to pursue an LLM in International Human Rights Law and Practice at the University of York, offered jointly by the York Law School and the Centre for Applied Human Rights. Applications for the 2025/26 academic year are open until Saturday, May 31, 2025, 11:59 pm BST, and can be submitted online.

About the Resource Provider

The scholarship is funded by The Sam Pegram Humanitarian Foundation, established in memory of Sam Pegram, a University of York alumnus who died tragically in the 2019 Ethiopian Airlines crash. Sam studied the LLM in International Human Rights Law and Practice after volunteering with humanitarian NGOs in Jordan, later working with the Norwegian Refugee Council in Geneva. The University of York, a globally recognized institution (ranked #167 QS 2024), hosts this program through its esteemed York Law School and Centre for Applied Human Rights, known for their focus on social justice and human rights education.
