An opportunity for eligible Afghan students to apply through the UWC National Committee of Afghanistan for nomination to a UWC school. Successful students undertake a two-year residential programme, generally leading to an International Baccalaureate (IB) qualification. The Afghan committee considers applicants based on intellectual curiosity, commitment to UWC values, social competence, resilience, self-awareness, independence, personal responsibility, integrity, and academic potential.
About the Resource Provider
The UWC National Committee of Afghanistan is the Afghan national committee responsible for selecting and nominating eligible Afghan students for UWC. The committee operates remotely and does not have an office in Afghanistan.

Who Can Benefit From?
Afghan citizens born Aug. 1, 2008 – Aug. 15, 2012.
Living in Afghanistan or living abroad as refugees.
Must have a Tazkira and an Afghan passport.
Must have good English and parental consent.
Cannot be a citizen or permanent resident of another country.
Application and Procedure

Register on the UWC application platform.
Select “UWC National Committee” as the application route.
Complete and submit the application in English.
Deadline: Oct. 31, 2026, 11:59 p.m. Kabul time.
Check your email for confirmation and follow the selection stages.
If nominated, arrange the required visa, passport, and travel documents.
