Program Description
Thank you for your interest in joining the ROYA Mentorship Program!
The ROYA Mentorship Program is a HerStory pilot initiative that connects female Afghan students — who arrived in Canada after August 2021 as refugees and now hold protected person, permanent resident, or citizen status — with university-level mentors across Canada. ROYA seeks to Raise Opportunity for Young Afghan women based in Canada by providing personalized, one-on-one guidance throughout the university application process. In Farsi, ‘roya’ translates to a ‘dream’ or ‘vision;’ with the help of dedicated mentors, we aim to empower Afghan women and girls to achieve their dreams in higher education.
If your aspirations align with the Program, we encourage you to review our eligibility criteria and complete the application form below.
Please be your authentic self and avoid using any AI tools such as ChatGPT to complete this application. Applications will be automatically rejected if we discover that AI has been used.
Please note: This is a free program, but mentees are responsible for university application fees unless waived by the institutions.
